Books

I've let another month go by without writing here. It's been busy and extremely hot. For about 3 weeks, we've had temperature of over 90 degrees without much relief.

Gotta say, staying at home so far has been GREAT! I love being able to spend this time with my kids.
Each time I take a year off from work, I sort of do it as a challenge. Can I deal with this one baby 24/7? Can I deal with a baby and a toddler? And now - Can I deal with a baby, a 2 year old, and a 5 year old, and put dinner on the table everyday and keep the house somewhat clean? It's a daunting task at first but now I know that yes, I can do all of that!!! I'm gonna add it to my resume. And this summer, to that list, I am also able to take all 3 kids to the pool by myself and keep everyone afloat. So far, I have not had to get the lifeguard to jump in the water for my kids. That's a big deal!

Anyway, aside from all that, I've been really loving my time for reading. On the weekends, when Pat is home, I can sort of read during the day, while I'm in the kitchen cooking or during the little moments here and there. But during the week, I end up reading before going to bed, and bed time gets pushed back to 3am. But that OK because the next day, I can just nap when the kids nap.

I'm gonna start a list so I can keep track of my reading. I try to read a wide range of books but I actually really love chick lit....
