sleepy mommy sleepy baby

I discovered that if I refrain from eating chocolate and drinking coffee after 3pm, Aidan sleeps so much better at night. Babies don't like caffine....

Now, this is really hard for me. I take my coffee black in the morning, but at night, when the house is quiet, I crave hot creamy sweet coffee. While I make this yummy drink, I go through the kitchen cabinets in search of a side kick. And of course, I see the box of chocolate covered pretzels that Pat and the kids got for me for valentines. This pair is divine and now, I have to resist all this. The comforts of chocolate and coffee at the end of the day.... But then, when I think about the dark hours of night, dealing with cranky bright eyed baby, wiggling and crying, it's not so hard. I kill my sweet craving by drinking apple cider and eating yogurt. And then, I drink decaf green tea that I just got from the store. (Don't every buy lipton's decaf green tea; although it's suppose to be green tea, it tastes so much like the regular distinct flavor of lipton tea.... strange....)

So now, Aidan sleeps about 3 to 3.5 hours before waking up for a quick meal. Then he goes right back to sleep for another 3 hour or so. Then, I nurse him again, but this time, I just bring him back to bed with me and Pat and we all snore until the day begins again. It's such a sweet time.
