social networking sites

I've had my profile on facebook and linkedin for awhile but I've never used it until recently. I just really started using facebook today (at work) because I got a mail from a friend from 20 years ago. I thought it was awesome that she found me. It took me by surprise and I thought it could be a good site to use. As I look into it further, it's actually more complicated than just that. As for linkedin, Pat started using it recently and it's so annoying that he spends so much time on it. If I have to check linkedin, facebook, number of email accounts, and update my blog, when am I suppose to do my work? Hummmm..... I also got a bit emotional getting into facebook and finding old friends. How am I going to control my expression in front of my colleagues? Maybe I should stop doing these things at work.... I found out that facebook allows me to post photos like I do here. Should I abandon this and move to facebook???? While I think about it, here are some photos from the past few months.

The kids have grown! I can't remember when, but one day, Terran could suddenly read all of the alphabets and numbers. Now, he is slowly starting to read words. As of today, he know "stop", "zoo", and "Terran". I think he can also read (or recognize) his friends' names. Terran's speech is complex with interesting vocabulary. Sierra babbles a lot and understands most things that we tell her. I finally stopped nursing her 2 weeks ago. She's OK with it but I was emotional for awhile because I know that I will never nurse another baby again. It marked an end of an era of raising babies and using my physical body for their growth - I was continuously pregnant or nursing (or sometimes both) for the last 4.5 years!

Sisi is so lucky to have Pat as her dad. He is so crazy about her and I know that she will use that to her advantage in the future.

These few photos are from the Train Show at the New York Botanical Garden. We spent a few days in NYC during the holidays. Reyko was out of the country and she let us use her apartment. I really haven't seen anything that I can describe as "magical" recently but that word fits this Train Show perfectly - and it wasn't magical just for Terran but also for me, too. They made replica of buildings and bridges around NY out of organic material like fern and branches. Then they put lots of vegetation around them. To top it off, they connected all of the buildings with rails and trains going through them. Absolutely beautiful - though you can't really see anything from these photos....

Sisi likes to do exactly what Terran does. So she wears his helmet and tries very hard to ride the tricycle.

This is my favorite photo from this winter. Terran loves to roll around in the snow. He likes to take his toy trains and run them through snow. We only had a couple of days like this one but he had such a great time.

I love this photo because Terran took it and my smile actually looks genuine instead of a smile for a photo. He took it as I was dressing in the morning and before I got my pants on! His frame is good.
